Mexican man admits faking his own kidnapping in St. Paul to gain visa, authorities say

A St. Paul based illegal alien admitted to faking his own kidnapping, as reported to the Pioneer Press, to have a qualifying crime for a U visa. His nephew tied him up with duct tape, and dumped him in the freezing snow to lend his ‘kidnapping’ legitimacy. He pled guilty to one count of visa fraud and one count of illegally reentering the United States.

Sexual assault charge dismissed, deportation likely for man jailed 3 years

According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, prosecutors dismissed sexual assault and domestic violence charges against a man, the same day he was set for trial. “A vengeful ex-girlfriend tried to frame her child’s father over a custody fight and she used the district attorney to obtain legal immigration status,” the man’s attorney said. “My client spent three years in jail because of her agenda and the gender politics of the Family Abuse Center.”

Liberian national found guilty of immigration fraud, perjury

Mohammed Jabbateh, 51, aka “Jungle Jabbah” a citizen of Liberia, lied about his activities during Liberia’s first civil war when applying for immigration benefits. Jabbateh was not truthful about his activities as a member of the United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy (ULIMO) and later ULIMO-K, rebel groups that battled for control of Liberia. Jabbateh was a battalion commander in ULIMO and ULIMO-K from approximately 1992 through 1995.

Nineteen Defendants Charged with Marriage and Visa Immigration Fraud

As reported by WJTV and CIS, a veteran Jackson, MS police officer was charged with falsifying police reports for accusers seeking U visas. As noted by the Department of Justice, a local attorney was indicted for submitting these false documents to USCIS. In addition to the U visa fraud ring with 16 counts of fraud brought to trial, a marriage fraud ring was detected in Jackson, MS in this 2016 investigation, with 16 counts of fraud brought to trial. 12 defendants wound up pleading guilty.
