An unnamed bystander in Texas did what Texans often do in January, and used his firearm to stop what appeared to be a violent robbery in progress. Now, police are saying that the "robbery" was in fact staged for the benefit of a fraudulent visa application, but the "robber" is still dead, and the fake "victims" are apparently nowhere to be found.

As reported on The Blaze, focusing on a WSOC TV report, that even in an area like Charlotte, NC, local immigration attorneys, other activist, and members of law enforcement have seen obvious attempts at U visa fraud. Responding to concern about false accusations, DC based feminist activist Leslye Orloff floated the possibility of preventing defense attorneys from even mentioning the possibility of U visa fraud in a trial.
